Basic Physical Properties

Density: 1.30–1.38 g/cm³, 30% lighter than aluminum.

Color: Natural beige/brownish gray; carbon/graphite filled version available in black for conductivity and wear resistance.

Water absorption: 0.15% (23℃/24h) with excellent dimensional stability.

Thermal Properties (Core Advantages)

Melting point Tm: 343℃; Glass transition temperature Tg: 143℃.

Long-term service temperature: 240–260℃; Short-term peak temperature: 300–310℃.

HDT: Pure PEEK approx. 160℃; 30% glass/carbon fiber reinforced up to over 300℃.

Brittle temperature: -196℃, maintains toughness over a wide temperature range of -200℃~260℃.

Mechanical Properties (High Strength & Toughness)

Tensile strength: Pure PEEK 90–100 MPa; carbon fiber reinforced up to 210 MPa.

Flexural strength: Pure PEEK 150 MPa; carbon fiber reinforced up to 298 MPa.

Modulus of elasticity: 3.7–4.1 GPa, close to metal.

Friction coefficient: 0.15–0.25 with self-lubricating property similar to graphite nylon; wear life 5–10 times that of nylon.

Electrical Properties (High-Temperature Insulation)

Volume resistivity: 10¹⁶ Ω·cm for insulation; conductive grade ranges from 10²–10⁶ Ω·cm.

Dielectric strength: 24 kV/mm, stable insulation under high temperature and humidity.

Flame retardancy: UL94 V-0 (1.45mm), halogen-free and low smoke, ideal for fireproof applications.

Chemical Properties (Excellent Corrosion Resistance)

Resistant to acids, alkalis, oils, organic solvents and hydrolysis; only attacked by concentrated sulfuric acid.

Radiation and salt spray resistant, suitable for harsh environments in chemical, medical and nuclear industries.

Engine bearing cages, seal rings, fuel valves, wire harness sheaths; fuselage & satellite structural parts.

Advantages: 260℃ heat resistant, flame retardant, radiation-proof, 30–50% lighter than metal.

Spinal cages, artificial joints, dental implants, surgical and dialysis device parts.

Advantages: FDA/ISO10993 biocompatible, sterilizable, bone-matched elasticity, radiolucent.

3. Electronics & Semiconductor

5G base station parts, new energy insulation & sealing components; wafer carriers, CMP rings, precision electronic brackets.

Advantages: 260℃ insulation, dimensionally stable, high purity, anti-aging.

4. Automotive & New Energy

Turbocharger, transmission and engine parts; EV motor, battery and high-voltage connector components.

Advantages: Over 200℃ resistant, oil & electrolyte resistant, self-lubricating, lightweight.

5. Industrial Machinery & Chemical
